  17. The install program AND Grocery Manager REQUIRE that VBRUN200.DLL be in one of
  18. the directories in your path, your Windows directory, or your Windows System
  19. directory, or they won't run.
  20.  
  21. VBRUN200.DLL isn't included in this archive because many people already have
  22. it, it's big (357K), and it is very annoying to have a 357K file included
  23. that you already have. It can be found separately on many BBS'es (see list
  24. at the end of this file), and it is available in library #6 of the WINSHARE
  25. forum, library #7 of the ZNT:PBS forum, or library 2 of the ZNT:WINSOU forum
  26. on Compuserve as VBRUN2.ZIP.

  28. Be sure a copy of VBRUN200.DLL is in your path, your Windows directory, or
  29. your Windows System directory, then follow the instructions below:

  32. Requirements to run Grocery Manager for Windows:

  35. 1) Windows 3.1 running Standard or Enhanced Mode
  36.  
  37. 2) A mouse
  38.  
  39. 3) Disk space needed: 1.5M
  40.    Subtract 357K if you already have VBRUN200.DLL
  41.    Sample files use 225K and can be deleted (del *.IS?)
  42.  
  43. 4) Minimum free memory in Windows to run GMW: 500K
  44.

  46. Upgrading from v.1.09 or older to GMW v.2.02:
  47. ------------------------------------------------

  49. If you're currently using version 1.09 or older of GMW, and you want
  50. to continue using the information you've saved in the previous version,
  51. DON'T use the install program. Instead, follow these steps:
  52.  
  53. First, make a copy of EVERYTHING in your GMW directory
  54. (it's the safe & smart thing to do!).
  55.  
  56. Copy these files from GMW202.ZIP to your GMW directory:
  57.   CONVERT.EXE
  58.   GMW.EXE
  59.   GMW.INI
  60.   GMW_DOCS.WRI
  61.   GMW.HLP
  62.   TOOLBUTN.VBX
  63.  
  64. Run convert.exe to convert your existing data to v.2.02's
  65. format. Click on the "Help" menu selection in CONVERT.EXE
  66. to read specific details about the conversion program.
  67.  
  68. You are now ready to use GMW v.2.02!

  71. Installing Grocery Manager for Windows (GMW):

  77. Unzip GMW202.ZIP onto a floppy or into an empty directory on your
  78. hard drive. While in Windows, start INSTALL.EXE. You will be
  79. presented with a default directory for GMW to be installed into.
  80. This can be changed to anything you want, but please keep GMW in
  81. its own directory. Select "No" if you don't want a program group
  82. created for GMW (Install defaults to "Yes"), and then click on the
  83. start button. Click on the Exit button when the installation is
  84. complete, and then delete all files from the directory you unzipped
  85. GMW202.ZIP into.

  87. Files that aren't transferred to the GMW directory by the
  88. install program are:

  91. diskstat.dll
  92. file_id.diz
  93. install.exe
  94. packing.txt
  95. readme.txt
  96. sysop.txt
  97. vendor.txt

  99. Manual Installation:

  102. Place the following files in your Windows System directory:
  103.   VBRUN200.DLL
  104.   VBISAMMX.DLL
  105.  
  106. Create a directory for GMW, and place all remaining files
  107. except the files on the above two lists, into this directory.

  110. GMW Sample Files and a Quick Tour of GMW
  111. ----------------------------------------

  113. Included with GMW are some sample files so you can evaluate GMW
  114. without having to manually enter any data. These files are
  115. copied to your hard drive during the automatic installation. The
  116. sample files will enable you to see how Grocery Manager works.
  117.  
  118. Immediately after installing GMW, go to the View menu, and
  119. browse through the various screens to view. The sample files are
  120. set up so that you can view or printout a sample menu and
  121. shopping list without going through the usual steps to make one.
  122. Select Shopping List from the View menu. This is an example of
  123. what you would take to the grocery store. Select Menu from the
  124. View menu. This is a sample of a menu that shows what meals are
  125. planned on each day.
  126.  
  127. When you get to the point that you want to enter your own data,
  128. you may either modify the existing data, or delete it and start
  129. over. To completely delete the data and start over, be sure that
  130. GMW isn't running, and go to the directory that GMW was
  131. installed in and delete all the data files by typing the
  132. following command at a DOS prompt: "Del *.IS?".

  135. Where to get the latest copy of Grocery Manager:

  138. In an effort to make it easier for you to obtain your favorite software,
  139. the latest updates of many ASP authored programs can be found on the BBSs
